I can hardly believe it, but in a couple of months, I’ll be a mom to a teenager.
It’s such an amazing age,
but I have to admit,
some days I feel like I’m learning as I go.
Learning and praying that I get this parenting thing right.
Last week was a rough week.
Mike was out of town and it was one of those weeks where I felt like I had to say everything three times.
as I sat down to work on revisions to the parenting book I’m writing, I came across this quote:
The ultimate test of a relationship is to disagree but to hold hands.
~Quoted by Alexandra Penney in Self
And I was reminded that some days, parenting is hard.
And we don’t always have to agree on everything.
We just need to keep holdings hands.
How about you? Are you parenting a pre-teen or teenager yet? It’s such a great age and it’s so neat to see my kids growing up, but it’s scary and tenuous at the same time. It seems like some days, just as I feel like I’ve got being a mom all figured out, I realize I’m starting all over. Any tips or advice from moms of teenagers would be appreciated!
