Some quick updates from the week…
Hi everyone! I’m just popping in with a few quick updates, so this will be pretty random…
I hope you had a great week. Things have been busy around here, but good. The Relay for Life event last weekend was awesome and of course I got choked up and inspired by all the people there. We walked early Sunday morning before church…
and my daughter spent the night at the event with her fifth-grade team on Saturday night…
Needless to say, she didn’t get any sleep. She had a great time though and I was really proud of her for being so involved.
I think I’m safe in saying that everyone who participated in some way was filled with…
The writing conference last weekend was fun too. I’ll tell you more about it next week on Talkin’ Thursdays (the topic will be anything that day, so post about whatever you want and come back and link up. It’ll just be a day to visit each other’s blogs.)
On the subject of Thursdays…
after next week, I’m putting Talkin’ Thursdays on hold for a little while. I hope to start it back up in the future, and I’ll still be blogging regularly, but my schedule’s gotten pretty busy and it’s getting harder to plan ahead for the Thursday topics. A HUGE thanks to all of you who’ve joined in so far, and I’d love for as many people as possible to link up next Thursday and give it a send off!
A totally random thing: I realized this week I’m starting to enjoy taking nature photographs, especially of trees. I was helping at an exhibit for work near the California State Capitol and I found myself taking out my phone and snapping these photos…
Aren’t they cool?
If you’ve never been to the Capitol, it’s really beautiful. The trees are huge and they’re labeled too, so you know what you’re looking at…
Definitely worth a visit.
Last, be sure to come back here for Mom-Monday. I’ll be sharing something about an inspiring mom that I know will tug at your heart like it tugged at mine.
I hope you have a great weekend, everyone! I’m looking forward to seeing my family and celebrating some birthdays. It’s supposed to be almost 80 degrees on Saturday! What are your plans?
