“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Just some of the beautiful trees on a walk near our house.

Wildflowers along the same walking path.

Sometimes the most beautiful things are right in our own towns, our own neighborhoods, our own backyards…

if only we remember to look for them.

“The art of deep seeing makes gratitude possible. And it is the art of gratitude that makes joy possible. Isn’t joy the art of God?” -Ann Voskamp in her book, One Thousand Gifts.

  1. Love this. That quote is perfect. And how lucky you are to have so much green lush where you are. But yes, we have to open our eyes and seek it out. Thanks for the reminder.

  2. Alicia,It is crazy (beautiful) how green everything is right now where I live in Northern CA. We had a few really big rains not too long ago, and now everything is just gorgeous!Genny

  3. Debi,I brought my camera specifically for that reason! All the grass and wildflowers are just beautiful right now and I've been having so much fun taking pictures lately. (Not that I know what I'm doing or anything, lol. Learning!…)Genny

  4. What fantastic photos! They are tearing up the walking trail near our home and now it's packed with mud and dump trucks. I miss being able to walk it during spring.

  5. Barbie,I have been having so much fun with it lately… finally beginning to understand lighting, etc. I still have a ton to learn, and my camera has so many different options, but it is fun to try!Genny :)
