So we’re moving to Idaho
I never would’ve guessed that we’d be moving out of California this summer. We’ve lived here all our lives, and Idaho has never even been on our radar screen.
But a lot has happened this month.
Mike’s job got transferred to Boise and it’s been a whirlwind few weeks with all kinds of emotions–worry about how the kids will handle the transition, sadness about the thought of leaving family and friends… and a sense excitement about the opportunities and possibilities ahead.
We were able to go on a preview trip to see Boise, and we absolutely loved it (the kids did too). Everyone we met was really nice, and the area was gorgeous. Here are a few photos:
Big changes and adventures ahead. I look forward to sharing our journey with you!

Hi, Genny. I just found your blog today after looking for other bloggers who are in the process of moving. We’ve just begun the moving process, and I’ve been hoping to be able to read another family’s experience, too. Helps me feel not quite so alone and untethered. :) Thank you for posting additional inspirational articles. They are much needed right now!
Alice,
So glad you stopped by! Would love to share the journey together! Where are you moving from/to?
