Everyone can be great
Just some of the great trees along the Mt. Judah trail at Donner Peak near Tahoe, CA. |
“Everyone can be great because anyone can serve.
You don’t have to have a college degree to serve.
You don’t even have to make your subject and verb agree to serve…
You only need a heart full of grace,
a soul generated by love.” Martin Luther King, Jr.

Wonderful reminder…and just what I needed. :)
Beautiful…photo and MLK quote
I needed the reminder too, Cecily! Sometimes I feel like I need to be doing something bigger, something greater, something more impacting… and then I read a quote like this and I'm reminded of the importance of simple things… serving, a heart of grace, a soul filled with love. :)Hugs to both of you!
lovely quote…
This is beautiful! I've got a giveaway on my blog right now for Valentine's, will you come enter?
Love this! It is so true. A hero does not have to be a famous person. Just someone who does great things in their ordinary lives. Thanks for sharing this.

Beautiful! I believe those who have an attitude of service and serve others well truly are the greatest!
So true! And so beautiful!
Beautiful photo! I love the MLK quote too. What a great man.
Everyone can be great indeed. :)
Great post! Perfect reminder for the day.
Love the quote. Perfect reminder. The trees are tall and strong. Is that a dusting of snow or just the light on the leaves?
Such a wonderful message that fits perfectly in with two Bible studies I'm participating in right now!Hope you're having a great week!Peace and blessings to you!Jeanine
JamericanSpice- it's the sun and new growth. I took this when I was up there before the snow. :)
What an amazing view. And the poem…so poignant. Exactly what I needed to read.
Great quote! It's so beautiful there!
Beautiful picture, and beautiful words!
So true yet we allow our own insecurities to block us from serving bc we are not "good enough" in our own minds. Thank you for the great reminder!!
It's a shame that all of those "things" that MLK said we don't need to be successful, to be someone end up being the "but(s)" in our way. I say, "MOVE YOUR BUTS AND YOUR BUTTS!"You don't need to be perfect, you just need to get going and DO something to serve the greater good of mankind!
