The gift of an ordinary day

My neighbor Barbara forwarded me this video and I just had to share it.

I watched it for about a minute before the tears started falling.

It’s poignant,

and beautiful,

and so, so true.

And it gave me a new appreciation of what a gift an ordinary day with my kids is.

What a gift.

What about you? What does this video make you think of? What ordinary day have you enjoyed with your kids lately?

  1. SHEESH! Tears so early on a Monday! That was BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for sharing it with us. I think I'm going to enjoy this "ordinary day" more than I could ever imagine!Peace to your day.Jeanine

  2. I know, Jeanine! Sorry about that… :) When I first started watching this, I didn't know if it would apply to me because this woman's kids are grown, and I'm in a different phase of parenting, but after a minute,I was a mess, in tears. Makes you want to stop and soak every moment in because they really do pass too quickly! By the way, your profile photo is darling!
