A whole bunch of moms and a very fun Christmas party

Happy Mom-Monday!

I thought I’d share some pictures from one of the Christmas parties I went to last week, since it involved a whole bunch of moms (about 45 or so).

I’ve mentioned before that I’m involved with MOPS in my area. In case you aren’t familiar with MOPS, the letters stand for Mothers of Preschoolers. It’s a great organization that helps moms to build relationships, learn from each other, lean on each other, and enjoy the ride of motherhood together. (You can find out more about it here or by clicking on the button on my sidebar.)

Donna (she and I are on the Mentor Mom team together) hosted the party.

It would be a huge understatement to say she is the hostess to the mostest. Everything was beautiful!

The food was great…

and the desserts were, too.

But the best part of the night was spending time talking, swapping mom-stories, and laughing our way through an ornament exchange…

(Some of the women I’m on the leadership team with: Amy, Christy, Donna, and Nicole.)

(and more…Jennifer, Marla, Sandra.)

It was such a fun night!

Thanks, Donna! :)
What about you? Have you been or are you involved in any type of mom-group? How has hanging out with other moms helped you?

  1. I loved seeing pictures of the wonderful night!! I did not get into MOPS this year because my church doesnt have it and the next closest church is a little less then an hour away… excuses I know. But man I miss that fellowship!! Your group looks absolutely lovely!Be blessed!Amanda

  2. WOW!! Your MOPS party looked amazing! Is that how MOPS parties are done California style?? Beautiful! I was in MOPS for 5 years and really enjoyed it. I was involved on the Caregiving Team and one year helped with the monthly newsletter. It was extra special because my sister (who lives an hour away) and I were in it together, so it gave us the perfect opportunity to visit and catch up! Thanks for sharing these pictures.

  3. That looks like fun! I haven't been able to meet any other new moms, yet. It's pretty lonely in my neck of the woods.Yes, I am feeling sorry for myself today.

What a wonderful presentation – the food looked so good. Now that my children are all grown up (17 and 22) there isn't any groups for mums with "older children", which is such a pity as it would be lovely to talk with other mums with teenage/adult kids – they still cause us all sorts of stresses.God Bless

  5. Genny,What a precious gift it is to come alongside another mom to encourage her, laugh with her, and share with her…I LOVE it!!!Just stopped by to say HI! Hope all is well!xoxo,Melissa in Mel's World

  6. What a fun night that must have been. I giggled, though, at the pretty Christmas garage! There's NO WAY our garage would ever look like that for Christmas…unless Christmas was in the summer…then maybe! It's the prettiest garage ever! We do, however, have the convenience of using our garage as extra cooling/freezing place for beverages, left-overs and such. We call it the "garage-erator."

  7. I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.Lucyhttps://businesseshome.net
