Our first pumpkin patch sunset

I looked at the calendar last week and realized it was already almost the end of October… and we hadn’t gone to the pumpkin patch yet!

With two soccer tournaments ahead of us (last weekend and this weekend), going to the pumpkin patch on a Saturday or Sunday like we usually do wasn’t an option. So we made last-minute plans to take the kids Friday after school.

It turns out that going in the early evening is one of the most beautiful times to go.

My kiddos waaay out in the field looking for pumpkins.

And the best part about it was that, as the sun went down, we got to watch our first pumpkin patch sunset ever.

This was one of those situations where waiting until the last minute was a good thing! :)
