Foster parents making a difference: A Place to Call Home

Today for Mom-Monday, I’m sharing an article I recently wrote for Sacramento Parent Magazine to recognize foster parents and the difference they make in the lives of kids and the community.

It was such an honor to interview the foster mom in the article–a mom who overcame her fears and is making a huge impact in the lives of three kids.

Please click over to the magazine’s website and read the article to hear how foster parenting not only changes lives, but also helps thwart child trafficking by giving children a place to call home.

What about you? Are you, or have you been, a foster parent? I’d love to hear about it!

  1. What a nice article. My Husband & I have been fostering Sisters (22 months & 3 years old)for nearly 2 years now and are beginning the adoption process. They have blessed our lives in so many ways. Thank you for spotlighting Foster Care!-Tammyhttps://dontblink-tammy.blogspot.com/

  2. Great article. Fostering is something I would love to do but we are ineligible as both my husband and I are residents but not US Citizens so cannot participate in the foster to adopt program in our State.

  3. I've never been a foster parent. However, I think that good foster parents are the salt of the earth!
