On a totally different note:
Can I ask all of you a question? I’ve been getting a lot of spam “Anonymous” comments on my blog lately and the weird thing is, on some of the comments, when I follow the email notification link to delete the comment, it doesn’t show up on the post. Have any of you seen this on your blogs? Maybe Blogger is deleting some of the comments automatically? Any tips would be appreciated.
And another quick note:
I want to apologize for being so slow (or absent) in responding to your comments and questions lately. I do read each and every one, and I truly appreciate them.
Things have just been busy… I’ve been getting really involved with C2BU (check out the website and join the battle against child trafficking, learn what’s going on with Courage House, and watch the awesome video for the upcoming Courage Conference!). I’ve also been working on a magazine article (that I can’t wait to tell you about after it goes to print). And then there’s the fun stuff of life and mommy-hood… (as I write this, I have laundry sitting in the washer waiting to be put in the dryer, laundry in the dryer waiting to be folded, a pile of laundry in a corner of the hallway waiting to be put away, and my daughter has been sick so I’m in charge of Charlie’s litter box.) You all know how it is! :)
So thanks for continuing to stop by and read, and for being patient with me lately. I feel like I’ve gotten to know so many of you because of your comments and I truly appreciate that. :)

I am sorry about all of the spam comments. I rarely receive anonymous spam comments. I hope you get the problem resolved. Have a great weekend!
Bummer about the spam. That's never fun. Perhaps adding the word verification to the comment form would help stop some of it.
Thanks! Laura, I thought about trying that, but I hesitated because I didn't want to put an extra step in there for comments. But after getting over ten spam comments just last night, I might have to! Thanks for the suggestion. :)
Congrats to the jewelry winner! And I hear ya about life being busy!Blogger did start automatically deleting spam comment just recently – yay!! I just discovered it a few days ago. Doesn't seem to catch everything, but it certainly helps.Here's what I did on my blog – I added word verification only for posts older than 14 days. I don't have very many people commenting on posts that old so it doesn't inconvenience or discourage very many people. And spammers seem to really like using the old posts so I have very few that actually show up on my blog!
